Bespoke Alterations Oxford is a new clothing alterations service and sewing studio based in North Oxford. We carry out expert alterations to all kinds of garments, be it everyday items, tailored suits, formal wear or wedding dresses.
Come in for a free fitting and consultation in our studio where we take the time to discuss your desired outcome and fit your items to your figure and specifications. All work is then carried out on site by our small team, led by our talented and highly experienced head seamstress. We pride ourselves on providing high quality, bespoke alterations to make your clothing fit you perfectly.
Our Services
We offer a comprehensive range of clothing alterations and repairs. This includes everything from simply mending beloved but damaged garments, hemming trousers, and shortening straps through to major restyling, resizing, and refitting.
We have extensive experience in bridal work, including delicate lace and bead work as well as dress fitting to ensure you look stunning for your wedding.
Free consultations and fittings
At our free fitting and consultation appointments we discuss your desired outcome and pin and mark your items ready to alter. We offer expert advice and guidance on how to achieve the results you want and talk you through the alterations process. We then give you a quote for any work you would like us to undertake and agree a time frame for completion. Complex work may require more than one fitting, but we always work with you to let you know what to expect from the outset.
Pricing
Every garment and every customer is unique. We quote individually for each job to ensure that you get excellent value for money and an agreed fee that fits the work. To give you an indication of our rates, guide prices for some of our most common alterations are available here.

Our Studio is located in Makespace Oxford - a work space and community hub in North Oxford. Entrance to the studio is via the South Door, press the buzzer on the intercom for access.
On Foot
We are a 20 - 30 minute walk from Oxford train station or city centre and have a small car park and bike racks on site.
By Car
For access by car to the car park please use postcode OX2 6TT - there are bollards that stop cars entering from Kingston Road, instead, from Woodstock road turn onto Frenchay rd then take the second left onto Hayfield rd, the car park is at the end of the road on the right opposite The Hayfield Deli.
Entrance to the studio is via the South Door, press the buzzer on the intercom for access.
