Behind the Seams – Visit Us During Oxfordshire Art Weeks!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re taking part in this year’s Oxfordshire Art Weeks—a much-loved celebration of local art, design, and creative spirit. It’s a chance for makers across the county to open their doors, share their work, and connect with the community—and we’re proud to be part of it for the first time this year.

You’ll find us exhibiting at Makespace Oxford on Aristotle Lane, alongside a vibrant mix of talented artists working across different media. From paintings to ceramics, textiles to glass, the exhibition promises to be a rich and inspiring experience.

But that’s not all—we’re especially excited to be showcasing a part of the creative world that often goes unseen: the artistry behind clothing alterations and garment transformation.

Artisanal Alterations with a Creative Twist

While we’re well known for our expert clothing alterations, our work goes far beyond hemming and fitting. During the exhibition, we’ll be highlighting the full scope of our artisanal clothing services, which include:

• Refashioning garments to give them new life and shape

• Embellishing with hand-finished details, trims, or embroidery

• Adding creative elements like custom sleeves, panels, or unique features

As part of the exhibition, we’re also opening up our working studio upstairs at Makespace. It’s where all the magic happens—and we’d love to show you around! Come see the tools of our trade, the pieces we’re working on, and the creative process in action. It’s a rare chance to step into the world behind the seams and see how ideas take shape through fabric and thread.
